Far Far away.....

and I land.
In a place not visited by many Canadian man....

Through a snow storm we flew and landed to taste the first
touch of snow on this remote coast. An interesting round-about
journey brought me to rest in this peacful place, as I had wished;
in a community of a few hundred, in the desired job,
and surrounded by extraordinarily friendly, humorous beings.

Here's the journey I took accross Canada by road (blue) and by air (black)

After the roady I spent just over two weeks, in the area around Montreal (Quebec),
with Jo Anne and her family/friends amid the sweet colors of fall....and luscious flavours of French-Canada. Mmmmmm

A mystry train(I now named) brought me to New York for
a visit saturated in undreamt-of happiness.
Reunited, you could almost say, with my long lost sister

Saddly separating on our own ways,
but holding exciting intentions ahead...
I head to an island up north and she- to an island near (and then onto) France

Newfoundland; the island, the only means of access by boat (or air)
to my spot on the mainland of south Labrador- Forteau.

The Atlantic; one of its bays: I look to every morning waiting to spot that
iceberg which may just float by one day

Forteau. A km or two around the bend....

English Point: the small white cluster
of houses, one of which I belong...

Having started in my regional nursing position not even a week ago..
writing prescriptions for drugs(completely foreign to me), taking antenatal clinics
to name a couple, I am feeling a tad overwhelmed with all the information and level I have
jumped onto. But ofcourse, for you all who know me so well, loving every minute of the
challenge at the same time!
Dem folk here ar'all so supportin n luv t take mes as one of der own...
da sistas keep on assurin me der sons ar 'marty fine', tal n hansome...
an ma dear- u gona be here lot longa den 6months
haha!!!

So bring on the Nufy Jokes Y'all!
